  1. You talk a lot about reading and improving comprehension on reading, but what study tips are there for improving performance in math?

  2. Grooaaan! I hate that question, because I don’t have a good answer. All the research I’ve seen shows that you get better at math by….drum rollll please….doing more math. My intuition (but I have no proof) is that improving at math is more like improving at playing the cello or improving your soccer skills; it benefits from repeated, focused practice with a good coach observing. The coach can tell you exactly where you went wrong and why. Check out the book, The Talent Code, by Daniel Coyle, for more info. I just don’t talk about it much, because I’m not that satisfied with the answer.
